Anonymous denies planning a cyber attack against Facebook

They admit that the alleged threat who lead the group may be acting independently

Washington. (Thomson Financial) .- The hacker group Anonymous today denied through the Twitter social network to be behind the alleged threat against Facebook information circulating on the Internet, although he did admit that those who can lead group members to act independently .

On Tuesday a suspected hackers, under the name Anonymous, rose Youtube video to the platform where they declared their intentions to "kill for the sake of Facebook your own privacy" and urged other "hacktivists" to join the cause.

Under OpFacebook Twitter account, and wearing an avatar (profile picture) with the symbol of Anonymous, these hackers threaten to boycott the social network Facebook on the 5th of November. However, other group members declined through the same network that all support the attack.

"We are following Operation Facebook. It's not our style to kill the messenger," reads one of the tweets that belie Anonymous participation.

"Sabu", the alleged leader of this group of hackers, continued the thread of Twitter and asked the media that would reflect that they are not behind such a boycott against Mark Zuckerberg's social network.

Apparently, Anonymous must have internal strife and although his name does not support the potential threat to Facebook, this does not guarantee that hackers are behind it can not carry it out.

"The riots are underway. It is a battle for the future of privacy and publicity. It is a battle for the choice and informed consent," read the manifesto of the video got on YouTube.

The date of November 5 commemorates the arrest in 1605 of a Catholic conspirator Guy Fawkes when he was planning the "Gunpowder Plot", with which he tried to blow up Parliament and assassinate British and the then King James I, his family and House of Lords.

Since then, Fawkes has become a symbol for activists and those opposed to authority.
